A springtime inspired tea set taking full advantage of an array of techniques to display its grace.  Brushwork calligraphy is used on both the platter and teapot, while the cups are decorated with Mishima (a Korean technique of inlaying slip) bees.  The entire set was fired in the Anagama wood-fire kiln with a full coat of glaze work.  Truly a marriage of time-honored styles to create a set of contemporary pieces.
